My last and unique experience in CNC was in 2000, when I had some diecast aluminium boxes done. At the time prices were not too low and places to do it were not plenty.

Things seemed to have changed since done, and I wonder where you have done your work and what prices you got.

Painting and lettering would be the following issue, but I'm prototyping now, so it's not a major concern yet.

Can you tell me of your experience with the places you worked with, and if you got what you wanted for a reasonable price?

Thanks!

Really depends on what kind of CNC job you are looking for. For lettering on Al boxes you could use color anodizing and then laser engraving. Laser engraving will also look nice on a powder coated, or even just on painted surface. Any trophy shop will be able to do engraving part for you.

Best, M
