Comet

There's a nice comet (Neowise) to take my mind off some of the current events, nicest I've seen since since perimeter guard in Viet Nam in 1970 (Comet Bennett). It's in the northeast (for northern hemisphere mid-latitude folk) rising just before and as dawn is breaking, about 3:30AM on. Got my ass out of bed this AM to take some pics.

Yes it's a nice one, despite I don't have a real look at it yet. But my father, which is a fanatic astronomer, take lot of footage since few days.
I personally have a amazing souvenir of Hyakutake in 96, by that time we go to the mountains not so far from my place, for a deeper dark sky. We had the chance to a cloud-less sky too and it was amazing. The tail was visible about 120° long in the sky 

APOD (astronomic picture of the day) have nice pictures since 3 days
