Really basic question - I have a single PSU board where I need to hook up V+/gnd to 20 small Vu buffer boards. What is a clean and elegant way to connect those 20 power wires to the single psu pcb?

Solder? :)

What about leaving the PSU with one wire then "daisy chaining" the power connectors?

screw terminal strip-block with jumpers?

The easiest way is to bent yourself a short coil out of plain wire.
A few turns on a screwdriver should do the trick.
Put all wires going to the Buffers on one side and an additional wire that goes to the power supply to the other and solder them together. For isolation you can add some shrin tube.

Another way would be to built up a chain from one buffer to the other.
