im looking to see if anyone knows of or designed a pcb or schematics for a custom channel strip
mic pre to 1176 comp to la comp
im trying to figure best way to make one. have a mic gain knob (doesnt need line input) since it will be just for tracking.
input transformer with DOA and a output transformer.
that runs into a attack and release with ratio knobs. out through another DOA and transformer
then into a LA2a style comp with gain and peak reduction. into a channel fader output doa and transformer.
if that makes any sense.
I currently use a 500 series rack a mic pre, 76 style comp and a la but I really want to have the "channel fader" knob thats on the mic pre to actually be at the end of the chain instead of before the comps.
or is there a pretty easy way to send the signal out the input gain to "bypass" the output trasformer, doa, and gain knob to go through the compressors then back into it.
