I'm in - pending price of course. I'm not in a rush so I'll pass on the prototype as I'm sure there are others who would love to get their hands on it.

Dany, can you comment on the differences between the parallel 408A and EF80X amps? I was planning an EF47 for my next mic but I'd like to know yours and others' opinions on the two amps. Have you tried the two amps with the same capsule and transformer?

I assume from the photos that the kits will allow these options as well as steel tubes.

That looks beyond stunning, great work!
Will you offer both PCB versions you do now?
And yeah, the  price would be nice to know.

Cheers
Jannis

Kits has been all sold for Now ,
Thanks,
best,
DAn,

Absolutely
D.
Options Above

I'm interested in at least two, depending on the price.

I’ve built three MK-U47 kits (sold two, kept one). Those builds were not cheap. I think the total cost was almost 1800 Euros per microphone, including the PSU, cable and everything else. Also the VAT and the shipping costs…

Your kits are even more close to an original U47 than the MK-U47 kits. They look beautiful! But how much will they cost? That’s the crucial question.

At some point, if the cost of a build gets close to let’s say a FLEA U47, I’m not sure if I will be interested.  I hope that’s not the case.
Any way: I would love to build a couple of your U47 kits!

I also would be interested in any opinions about the differences between the parallel 408A and EF80X amps.
I've only used the parallell 408A in my builds so far. They sound very good, but are a bit noisy, I think.

Those look like FleA bodies. I bet Dan has an agreement with them.

They sold me one of their bodies a few years ago but it wasn't cheap!

Looks beautiful.

Thanks Mike ,
There is no agreement with Flea,  i had redrawn every single part from scratch which took 2 year to do and to assess,
but i can take this as a compliment  :)
