Hello..I don't mean as humming a tune ( ;D)..It just sit there and hum.Nothing plug in. It hums in the rack, out of the rack. If you put your ear, you can hear it also. Anyone with a clue as to where to begin looking..? Thanks..

this shouldn't hum without anything connected.

however, if it hums in the rack physically, it is the PSU transformer.

O.k. cool as I had found a different DI with the same model number.  Well you can use any basic hum elimination that you would do on any other unit and apply it here. Not knowing how  the hum sounds like and such,  would start off by making sure the PSU is in order. It might be time to recap. Then check the grounding and of course the wiring to and from it.

IF the hum us across all of the channels then it's going to be further up the chain which would most likely be the PSU or wiring. If the hum is on a specific channel then you probably have component failure, a solder joint that has gone bad or a crip/connection that has gone bad.

Hello..Thanks for your reply..The hum doesn't pass into the signal chain (outputs to recording tracks,etc.)..It's just annoying..!..It sits and physically hums..Great sounding DI tho'.. 8)

oh so the
is just an audible hum from the rack  box and not in the audio path.

I would check the power transformer and make sure it is securely attached. On occasion power transformers will hum but that usually is a warning sign something is amiss.
