Hello there

I just bought an old DBX 128 compressor expander on Ebay.
The previous owner has changed the current transformer for a very noisy generic one of 15 v 0.5A.
Someone who owns this same equipment can tell me how many output volts and amps the original has or have a photo to be able to change it for a toroidal type.

I think that of the Dbx 118 is the same

Thank you

Generic is fine since all replacement transformers are generic.

"very noise" in what sense is it noisy? it it mechanical noise?
what noise are you referring to?

Can you post the schematic of that unit?

The problem with the transformer is that it adds a lot of floor noise.

I have read that changing it for a Toroidal improves this problem a lot.

The original transformer worked at 110v and was changed to a 220v one. What I am not sure of is that the output voltage and the amperage of the new one is correct

. It does not look very good but this is the schematic

Thank you very much Goselicain this will help me a lot.

Woops it is electrical noise and when compressing it is more audible. When it flies to the studio I record a sample.

Thanks
