So I got a pair of dbx 376s for cheap and one of them is giving me issues.

While doing functional tests I noticed that (in contrast to the working unit) this one had its tube flickering instead of glowing. Slower and slower, not it stays dark. The rest of the unit is still functional, but of course no sound.

I haven´t worked with tubes yet, so I´m a bit careful here. Can this "tube death" be normal aging? A transport issues? Do tubes break? Maybe just a loose connection? I´m aware of the higher voltages involved, that´s why I ask here before doing anything. And yes, everything is disconnected from power. Just looking for some input on where to get started, maybe this is a common phenomena.

Any input welcome and thanks in advance!
