Hi!
I have a couple of questions about filtering DC coming from a raw wall wart.

for a simple first or second order RC low pass filter on the +V rail, is there a limit for capacitor and resistor values? I got clean DC just filtering with 27R and 2200uF, but I'm concerned about cap size, because I never saw a 2200uF for this purpose on schematics around here, I remember some 470uF or 100uF, but never a 2200.

My wall wart is nominal 40V DC (100ma), I want to use it to power 4 ne5532 driving high impedance loads.
I tried to split the power supply with a simple passive voltage divider, and it works. It keeps working for hours without heat.
can be as simple as that? without virtual ground buffer?

thanks for replies
bye
