I just bought a small Delta SR for 300, could anybody help me I need the schematics ??? !!

Nicholas

the small version of the soundcraft delta 200 with only 1 sweepable mid EQ and 4 instead of 6 AUX

I know this is an ancient thread, but I just got one of these too - am looking for schematics and any general info on it for replacing caps or cleaning it up in any way that I can.

Thanks!!
Sig

I have Delta DLX schematics.  the SR is not mentioned in the pdf tho... I guess the boards is more or less the same...

I have venue inputs, 6 deluxe inputs and a couple stereo inputs in my Delta DLX 32/4/2

I've been searching the net for more info regarding what parts normally to replace, but not much details there.... there are a few who offer upgrade services, ofcourse they wont tell in detail what they do..... ;-)

Got the schematic from the initial poster - thanks so much!

Seems most of the mods to these are hocus pocus.  The desk is pretty much what it is, not a whole lot to be improved upon.  I think it'll make a cool little desk for tracking multiple guitar mics and such, or a quick retro console mix off a 2" tape machine.

Anyone else have much experience with these?

Mine's got 14 pres and 2 stereo channels.  Worst case, I can use it in a second tracking room for the pres alone.  I see that the CPS150 PSU's are on ebay (3 of them) for $500 each!!  I barely paid that for the entire console and PSU...

sorry to bump this old thread (also on my first post..) but I'm looking for the schematics to the Delta SR console - haven't heard back from soundcraft so far and it seems the drawings are around on this forum ;D. I plan to replace the master bus with a CAPI one and would like to see what I have to modify to make it work and I plan to add a proper, balanced monitor output while I'm at it. I have already added star grounding for all channels which helped reducing noise I think, so far I'm very pleased with it.

I also have some additional questions regarding the console/power supply:

I got the 32 channel version with the CPS 450B PSU and the voltage selection was set to 240V (UK) which I now changed to 220V (EU) but here (Switzerland) it's actually 230V..which is better to use?

I noticed that some cables coming from the power supply aren't connected to anything inside the console. Everything works as far as I know, haven't tried the 48V though as I don't own any mics - should I investigate that? (Grounding is connected)

Also does anyone know how much the PSU can put out? I plan to remove 6-10 channels (some are dead and I don't need 32) also to make space for the CAPI bus and was thinking about using the 17V rail to power some DIY builds in addition, which would then be built into the console like 500 series modules (shouldn't be an issue as far as I can tell with the 17V). Assuming the PSU can power all that..maybe a GSSL if it can run of the 17V - or is that a stupid idea?

Specs of the CPS450B are:

+/-17V, 3.5A
+/7.5V 1.25A
+48V 0.35V
+24V 1.1A

I f you still need schematics, please PM me your e-mail, I will send it to you.

Im also looking for Delta SR schematics. My plan is to mod the master section so that the  tape replay input would be wired to phones without the replay PFL switch, that makes it mono and blocks the master out.

Thanks for the schematics! I figured that connecting the "tape replay" gain  pots first lugs to "headphone"  gain pots first lugs will do the trick allowing stereo headphone monitoring for "tape replay" input.  And it did, but it also drove the incoming audio from "tape replay" jack  to the master meters, which was a bummer since that is not something that Im very interested in metering (rather keep it on the stuff that goes for the tape record out).

Maybe you can connect outputs from tape replay to headphones directly as is shown in the picture bellow. The drawback is that you can't regulate headphones level  for tape replay signal with headphones potentiometer, only you can do that with tape replay level pot.  That way meters are left clean from the tape replay signal.

This worked perfectly! I may add an on-off switch on it at some point.. Thanks!

Do you think I could get a copy of the schematic?
