How do you come up with all these 'over pro level' projects?

when are you going to show us pictures of your factory? :green:

Ceci n'est pas une pipe

Hehe...last time I was watching TV or movies was...cannot remember,
maybe couple of years ago, prefer books...now reading Fritjof Capra
in Russian translation, please, remind me this joke with
famous french artist :)
DOA is don't-remember-where-stolen schematic from Japanese Web,
it is common classic 2sk389-cascode-"videobuffer"...good shit.
Gain structure:6/12 db trafo-(0/-8),then (+(2/4/8/16)+4db) on first opamp,
then (+10/+18) second opamp...both dc servo'ed.
48 db of gain range in 2db steps and -20 db pad is enuff...
it gives about -8...+60 range in hi-z, possibly to configure
it in different way...
Possibly to use one opamp like on Forsell's site.
Input trafo is mine, 24-25ee lams from Magmet, shield from Farnell...
Here's the controller:

Will post some other pics in case of great interest :)
I know a famous french artist that would claim that that is not a pipe..

..but the preamp definitely looks very nice..

Tony dB must have been thinking about transformers again.... how could we otherwise explain that he let 'french' pass unnoticed ?

BTW, there's a nice Margritte-exhibition here in the Netherlands, I'll be going in a few weeks: http://www.rotterdam.info/TRD/evenementen/tentoonstellingen/108441.asp

What are these traffos?

Did you know that in french « pipe » is a word for blowjob too.
So this word can bring funny situation when you are with a pipe smoker.
La polysémie du langage.
Just for the record... Magritte is actually Belgian :green:
Yes, that's what I already implied above.
BTW, Magritte n'est pas Margritte
Missed that! I'll be checking out the exhibition though!
All fine  Enjoy Rotterdam !
I'm not sure how much of what's on display are actually paintings, but what the *&%, will be visiting some people there, we go & watch and we'll be having a good time.
