I've listened to the samples but this unit seems to be all about subtle distortion. I'm looking for something more radical like the level-or

maybe one of the guys developing new modules will make something more what you are looking for:

Not really an EQ but - dunno if you've seen this in the lab but I'm currently prototyping a Level-Loc implementation in a 500 module...

In looking at building distortion units for the 500 series, we found we could not please anyone on what was the best thing to do.

Instead, you might use a foot pedal interface unit and plug in your favorite distortion pedals.

I would recommend a brand and model but I fear this would violate posting guidelines.

A simple distortion circuit is quite simple, so it is more a question of getting it into a 500 module?
