DIY Dremel engraved g1176 front panel

You can get blank face plates and cases through par metal. Either clear anodized or just raw aluminum.

Dremels are great little tools. 1001 uses! I was actually wondering if anyone knew what type of paint would to use so that the dremel doesn't chip off big chunks of it if you wanted to engrave a painted surface. Like if you wanted a matte black finish with the raw aluminum for all your lettering.

Sorry to dig up an old thread but I thought I'd clarify something that I learned the hard way. A dremel engraver is not the same thing as a dremel tool with an "engraving bit." The difference is night and day. The dremel tool is super hard to control whereas the the dremel engraver is like drawing with a pencil. Also the dremel engraver costs less!
