Neve and SSL do it slightly differently, but they noth work well. At silence the Neve reads 100% in-phase (silence doesnt disagree with itself, so it muse be in-phase!) Nothing wrong with that. SSL at silence sits in the middle. Neither in nor out of phase... nothing wrong with that either. Same signal fed to both they both usually read the same and agree.

Hi Keith,
Are you sure about that? cause I work sometime on a NEVE VR and the phase correlator sit the middle at silence!
But I do not know about the SSL.
thanks for your reply

I found a few phase meters in storage... I think I have four of them. They're SIFAM center-zero, white pointer on black background...

No driver circuit, but maybe it could be the catalyst to having someone build a phase meter circuit...?

Well, dredging up an OLD topic...

I did indeed finally dig these meters out. -They're SIFAM (no longer manufactured) large center-zero, white-pointer on a black background. Is there anyone who would be interested in one? -If so, I'll put them for sale in the market.

Hi Keith,
i am VERY interrested in buying one of your Sifam Correlation Meter!
do you know if the model/size is 32A (like the one once sold by canford audio)
are you selling them with driver card ?
will look at the black market right now :)
cool !

Rod Elliot of Elliot Sound Products has designed a phase correlation meter after the unit formerly from Canford Audio. Look up Elliot Sound Productcs in a search engine. It is project #135 & the meter face is like the Canford unit.
