DIY Ribbon Mic Covid project

Just finished a dog of a ribbon mic. It looks like ass, but is built with love and cost and about 25 bucks in parts and cost about 45 minutes to make. I did the offset ribbon like Royer does.

Calling your mic and video COVID is probably not good. Youtube already thinks your video is about health and is posting their normal disclaimer under your video.

No, I didn't take any.
Just taped a transformer to a piece of wood and screwed in an xlr. Used brass and bent it to make a frame for the magnets to be glued on. Used a couple pieces of wood with copper tape as the connectors for the ribbon. Hand cut the ribbon and corrugated it. That was how.
