I was wondering if someone could post a schematic or design a pcb for one.  Despite the views of this mic pre from people on this forum it is my favorite mic pre and would love a DIY.  I'm not very experienced in DIY but I'm working my way up and from what I hear this is a simple unit and shouldn't be too difficult.

I could be wrong, and probably am, but I recall this being a fairly simple design similar to the $5 mic pre post that floated around a while back.

Cloning is just reverse engineering in some cases, so if you have one, open it up and start from the input.  If it is as simple as the 5$ pre then it shouldn't be to complicated to trace the signal and come up with a schematic that you can then input into something like Eagle.  Finding the schematics for a unit that is still production for free over the web is highly unlikely, seeing as how t-dent likes to sue just about anybody from some of the posts I've read here.

That doesn't really help.  I would really like a clone.

Well pardon me. It's my understanding that the Trident S20 is built around the INA217. If you look at the data sheet for this chip it gives you the schematic for building the preamp.

I doubt the S20 strays far from this. You'd just have to figure out the mic switching and fancy aesthetics with the LEDs.
