Hi All,

Like my DRIP Fairchild support thread, I thought about starting this for the EQP1a builders, at least for feedback commentary initially to see if people want a single place to capture all the build challenges with the DRIP.

I have the original documentation of the EQP from DRIP if you'd like/need it.

Additionally, I have a build thread here on TUMBLR that attempts to point out errors in the manual, and provide some more logical steps for doing things.

NB: Case is by Tat Purusha :) and he's done me a custom rear plate too!!!

Great idea! I've built 2 Drip EQP1a's, early versions, and the main thing I had to do was to put in a rectifier to give me DC instead of AC for the heaters. I'm not sure if later versions have this same issue though.

Actually good point Morls - mine are early ones too.
I just used the AC winding from the Sowters - I figured Brian winds a pretty mean traffo - so went with just AC.

Did you find using DC on the heaters was better / quieter or gave you some added benefit? - would be a pretty simple mod if it's noticeable :)
