That is one thing I noticed driving through CA... Those farms are like oases in a tan landscape

This argument has been brewing for a long time now. It takes something like
1.1 gallons to grow a single almond. There are folks out here who feel water could be used for other things. Almonds are a huge export for California which further complicates the argument. It’s a complicated argument.
