Hello DIY group, I just found this site. Lots of good info on here for sure. I was dopey enough to get a  "working" 1A485C unit on ebay which had all its internal mic cables cut out (all 6 aux and 3 of the 4 mic cut!) Any way I ordered a Sams bulletin for it (not here yet) and then discovered  mjrippe posted one in 2015. Thank you for that mjrippe!  Tubes check out ok on the Eico 666.

Anyone have any idea of what the speaker impedance L5 (center of page on schematic) would work? Tracing it through SW1 section 2,  It is hooked up to the inner taps on the output tranny.  I'm thinking trying an 8 ohm wouldn't cause any problems.

I just realized the mic transformer included was a 3A80A dukane which has a secondary of 600ohms, so this seems like a solidstate xformer.  :'(

Not sure about the speaker impedance, but 8 ohms is a safe bet.

You are correct about the transformer though, the 3A80A is for their solid state gear.  You would want a 3A25 or 3A55.

Stuff of that vintage, if not marked, and short lines, I would *assume* "3.2 Ohms" (today we'd say 4 Ohms).

Using a 8 Ohm job will give say 4 Watts @ 3% THD instead of 6 Watts @ 5% THD, same difference either for intercom or small guitar amp.
