I've said this before, and I'll say it again, now is the perfect time to learn how to create an eagle lib/part. Go to www.instructables.com and you'll find some great tutorials on how to do it.

Creating your own parts in eagle is an invaluable skill

Agreed, it's not too tough. I managed to happen upon the library editing while playing around and found it pretty easy. Often, it's as simple as finding a reference datasheet and editing an existing part to different specs.
 
+1 for editing!  What I do is copy a library and add an X to the new file name (or remane it entirely) so as not to mess up the original library, then edit away.

Yep, I did this to thin out a library and tailor it to my senior project. The editor has also proved valuable to cross-check "unofficial" footprints with reported dimensions, I've found a couple rather creative interpretations while building this library of somewhat obscure smt components.
