Ela m 251 question

I've just finished my Ela M 251, sounds very nice (vintagemicrophonepcbkit.com), except that it seems like the pattern switch doesn't change characteristics, any way to troubleshoot that? (It seems to be very "roomy".)

Good point - unlike the C12, the 251 requires a CK12 with isolated backplates.

I'm going to assume you meant to post this in the M49 thread.

But 2, 4 and 8 are already connected internally, inside the tube. And if you had bothered looking either through the pdf that i linked there, or even through the project documentation in the first couple of posts in that thread, you might've gleaned that G2 then gets connected to the anode plate.
