Hello,
I connected a PS that was getting from 12 to 20vdc instead of the suposed 9v. It burnt the D25 SMD component, everything else looks ok. I don't know what this is, can anyone help me ?
Thanks

i know the foto it's not that good.

Probably just the reverse polarity protection diode... just take it out and power up the circuit. *** MAKE absolute sure you have the polarity right!!!!***

If everything works... there are a lot of diodes that would work just fine for the job.

That's right after the dc connector. This is only for the motorized fader, everything else works from the usb power(and is working).

Thanks

Can you draw out a portion of the schematic? Focusing of course where and how the diode connects.

Resurrecting this ancient thread - does anyone know the diode part #? Exactly the same thing happened to me. It comes after two inductors from the pos DC jack and two more to ground:

pos DC  >------- L1 --+-- |>--+--L2------< minus DC
                                |  D25  |
                                |          |
                                To Motor

12v zener maybe?

Hey Guze,

Don't know if you have kept your fader pro or not so this post might be useless.

D25 on mine which is a 2006 rev 3 board is below. It has a reverse C, then two equals stacked vertically ( like this but sideways ==) and then says 028. Below all of that is Z H W. I couldn't really find anything useful with that but you might know what it all means better than me.

I also need help identifying what D1 is. It's in the opposite corner of the board. Just above the right side of the white 6 pin connector. It starts with A7 but the rest of it is blown out on mine. It's a double diode and there are a few that start with A7 I just need to know the rest. Are you able to help me out?

Thanks!

I haven't got a magnifying glass or a camera and these things are awfully small, but  D1 looks like A7 and then the number 4 turned 90 degrees counter clockwise in an even smaller font. I hope that's helpful.

Has any of you tried to change the encoder on it? So garbage.  I just bought it today and I want to replace it. Any recommendations on reliable encoders? It's a mechanical incremental type.

thanks for the pics, i'll take some as soon as i can, it's not with me and still not fixed
