So this is the group buy?  Possible to get it without the capsule?

Thanks Veronica!

Yes, i have been working on the website and you can also purchase just he body kit and a mount. Here is the link http://www.beesneezmicrophones.com.au/store/ela-m251-styled-microphone-body-kit.html

Did anyone ordered and got the bundle kit (body&capsule) yet? There is some silence from the Beesneez side ...

Hi, folks. Due to some unexpected physical trouble (lasting, but not life threatening), I was off the forum for a while.
I'm not up to date with everything, yet, but here are two  links to check:

Recieved my mic body, and its REALLY REALLY nice!  :)

Where can i find a 7 pin xlr insert?
Also, was there supposed to be a set screw in the base? What thread is that?

Thanks
Neil

For those of you unfamiliar with the Beesneez mic bodies, these things are not Chinese throw-aways.  They are thick, heavy, well made, practically bulletproof works of machinery.  You get what you pay for.

Hi Ben and Veronica,

I have two questions:
- Do you still have the ELA M251 Styled Microphone Body Kit (without the capsule) in stock for $399?
- In the text on your website, you write "The body tube can be in the 251 colour as pictured". I have never seen a M251 in that color. I have to admit that I have never seen an original M251.  but in the pictures I have seen on the net the color is more like creamy white. Can you give me a better example of the "251 color" you use as the standard color for the body?

Best regards
Stefan

The one I received is a creamy white. I believe that's what the five available would be.

By the way, I think the Beesneez CK12 capsule is amazing. If you're considering a more budget capsule you may want to reconsider and buy their body kit with the capsule.

Vintage ones seem to have a greenish beige tinge, but could that be aging?
In old color pictures (when the mics were new) they're more creamy white.

Colors were briefly discussed in poctop's Ela M251 build thread.
Check out replies # 271 through 275.

I propose pink, yellow, green, orange, blue or american flag, just look on the "telefunken" us custom beauties :D

No, I'm not considering a more budget capsule. I'm considering using one of my Tim Campbell capsules. :)
