Interested.
Why the decision to use the standard VTB9045 over the PCB mounted VTB9045m?
Seems 500 series would be perfect for that version of the transformer.

.. the VTB9045M is too tall to fit in a single slot 500 series space...... a long time ago,  I did design a new transformer to fit which has the internal components of the VTB9045 but a smaller Mu-Metal can.... but it was shelved as the can suppliers wanted a stupid amount of money for the cans.

Colin, is there any difference (no of turns, inductance, etc..) between the 9045 and the 9045M apart from the obvious (screening)?  The 9045 seems to be bigger than the 9045M one.
