Thanks to those who helped out with the little things, and big thanks to (JLM) Joe for the power supply. I know racking pre's is nothing ground breaking, but I thought I might add some pics.

yeah, please tell us how you like these rare critters.

As a matter of fact, I also have a pair of the very same modules and am quite curious about your findings (well, that's obvious, right?)

Any caveats during the build process?
Care to share a schematic of your PSU and wiring?
Did you add output xformers?

Thanks heaps.

These modules sound pretty good. I A/B them with my Presonus MP-20 and the 110b's stabbed the Presonus in the face, broke all it's limbs and then buried it's body in an abandoned coal mine. These modules sound TOUGH! They left the Presonus pre sounding flat and boring. The Auditronics modules have this fat sub 60Hz low end, I just ran some CDs through them and i could feel the kick in my chest! there also is a little presence boost somewhere in the 5-10K range which made the vocals sound clear, more detailed, and stand out from the rest of the mix. The Presonus did have a hint more HF, 15K and up, detail, but the Auditronics high end is still really smooth and clear.

The EQ's are frickn' sweet too. They are passive inductor based kinda like a cheep Pultec. The HF control gives you a choice of 7.5K or 12K and you can crank the highs up all the way and it adds this sweet air without getting harsh. I'm not sure about all the specs, but my ears love these modules especially since I payed about $120 each for these!

The power supply is built on one of Joe's PCBs. All the pinout / PS info is in this thread.

The output transformers are Jensen JT-11-FLCF and they're only about $35 each.

Nacho, thanks for your feedback - that shall motivate me to finally get around to racking my auditronics.
Funnily enough, I also got them dirt cheap, like $140.00 for the pair.

Cheers,

Michael
