Hello,

I am trying to detach the circuit  board so I could resolder those Molex connectors ,but eventhought I have remove the screws and loozen the four nylon spacers the board does not seem to detach. :-\

Thank you in advance.

Thank you,
I have allready read that but it does not seem to help.....

It seems that I dont get which is the amp deck..so I can not take it out mm :-[

Well, going by the steps described there, the "amplifier deck" would seem to be the entire rear panel assembly. There must be some sort of hinge(?) on the right side, if the whole thing should be able to be swung open (as per 4.3.1).

There are not any hinges except the four silicon that I have allready loose.

Between the board and the enclosure is the "Power Transistor Bar" that is somehow (I guess) glued to the enclosure  :-\

Glued, in addition to the C-screws? (since i'm guessing those connect to the pressure-bar over the transistors)

I know its akward.......maybe those silicon isolator pads have stuck and need to force the board out...gently??

If you mean the sil-pads right under the transistors, yes, those may well have dried out somewhat, and they CAN be quite stubborn indeed :)

It's actually indicated not to reuse them, anyway.

Hmm... Any chance you can slip a flathead screwdriver in there somewhere? To try to lever up the transistors...

Or actually, wouldn't it be possibly easier to desolder the transistor legs, maybe bend them out of the way, and then remove them separately, after removing the PCB?

Some photos of the insides might be useful :) (since the diagrams in the service manual don't really show exactly how those transistors are mounted)

  Screwdriver did the job!!!!!!!

Molex fixed and  my Gennie is ready for some beats!!!!!!!

Thank  you very much for your help!!

;) :)

If your talking about the molex where the XLR plugs in with a ribbon cable,  It usually is in the hold down plastic part that slides in.  I had this problem with mine which are from 1994 vintage and would up soldering around the connector.  Those connector need replaced after years on mine.  The connect it self stayed soldered to the PCB but the clamps or plastic hold down had gotten sloppy  and created an intermittent connection.  I also had problems with the mute transistor T101 that had to be replaced.  other than that they have held up very well.
