I'm originally from Oklahoma and not ashamed <g>.

I cannot find a definite accurate map showing how the OK repubs split up the state a few months ago for the US House and is now in place. I guess my search terms are not adequate.

One proposed map "carved out a chunk" of Okla City which has a large hispanic population as well as the uptown area where many of the hipsters reside, and stuffed that into a district which is 99% rural extending to the OK panhandle.....and natch republican. Dilute the vote in my mind.

Help me find the new map for the 5th Okla district. Maybe it came out better.

which shows a map that may be the one Stitt signed into law. The redraw of the 5th substantially dilutes minority voting power, which potentially could lead to a challenge of the map. DOJ has already gone after Texas for something similar, but I don't know enough about it to predict if they'd do the same in OK.

They redistrict eveytime there is a new census. So every ten years. The rest is all speculation. What may look good at first can easily backfire in a couple of years. This is all nothing new.
