worked wonders for me

meekie0,

Is it 50Hz or 100Hz? -If it's 100Hz, then you'll need a Handy-dandy C/R/C/R/C board, and all of your troubles will be over. -If it's 50Hz, then you have a ground loop, either in your gear or in the piece of equipment which you're connecting it to.

I do believe that the C/R/C/R/C solution is something which will solve a number of people's GSSL hum problems though.
anybody got any info on a C/R/C/R/C board
See the threads that were linked earlier. As far as I know there's no prefab C/R/C filter board available; you'll have to construct it yourself on perfboard/veroboard/whatever.

"Translation"

"Just a small drop of ??? then" ..... 'hus' ??

OR : does that mean "Just a few of us then" !!!! ????

I had this hum / buzz too. It is caused by poor ground design on the pcb. I cut two ground tracks, both near the edge of the pcb leading away from the large ground plane that the filter capacitors are soldered to. The rectifier noise dropped from -72dBu to below the noise floor at -90dBu.
There is also another issue which I haven't pursued as yet. When the threshold is set below the audio level ie compressor can occur then the distortion goes up significantly. This occurs even with the unit in bypass thus it is not the distortion that will occur with short release times. I suspect that once again it is a layout issue and the sidechain rectifier is injecting harmonics into the supply or ground for the audio path. It would be great to have a solution for this.
