GSSL meter - Needle to LED Bargraph.....

Hello. I'm going to build the GSSL clone at some point, have the pcb's sitting there.
I wanted to know if possible (and maybe blasphemy for some) the difficulty in using an LED bargarph to show gain reduction instead of a needle meter.
My build, I want it to look modern although will calibrate with a needle meter.

I have some LM391* circuits that can be used.

Any help will be appreciated.
