I originally sent this to Jakob but he suggested that I post it here:

Hi Jakob,
A friend of mine has asked me to build him a GSSL. (No side-chain stuff - just the standard circuit).
I've just received some PCB's from Swedish Chef.
Do you mind if I just clarify a couple of things ?
The PCB is labelled as version 7.

I'm going to use THAT 2181LB VCA's.
With reference to the circuit, the CV to the VCA's is via 1k resistors to each DBX202 but the emulation circuit has 1k resistors to pin 3 of a 5534.
I therefore don't need both 1k resistors (i.e. 2 x 1k in series) do I ?
Short one out on the PCB ?

Similarly, the distortion trim for the DBX202 is via a 1M resistor. The emulation circuit for the 2181 has the trim via a 10k resistor to pin 4. So is the 1M resistor to be shorted out ?

On the output 5532 the schematic shows a 10K resistor from pin 5 to 0v.
I take it this should be 470R as shown on the PCB ?

Hope the descriptions are clear and that you don't mind answering these queries.

I notice that Matt (fucanay) did a sheet on various mods - perhaps he can chime in ?

Best Regards,

Martyn
