Hi,

I just finished my Hairball Rev D kit and before powering up the unit I checked some grounds and continuity etc... Suddenly I found out that there is continuity between secondary wires coming from the Avel Lindberg power transfo (I unsoldered all secondary wires again to measure again to make sure it's nothing else...). There is continuity between the yellow wire and the "red-and-orange-tied-together"-wire and between the black wire and the "red-and-orange-tied-together"-wire. Also, there is continuity between the yellow and the black wire. Is this normal? Seems like a short, no? I'm afraid shorting my circuit when powering up my 1176...

Thanks in advance!

Bram

I responded to your email.  You will see a "short" or low resistance when testing a winding with a DC ohm meter.  You're testing a length of wire.

Thanks,

Mike
