Just in time for Halloween I read a story in the paper today about a crispr(?) gene splicing experiment that went awry.. They were trying to cure a genetic blindness issue by splicing in the missing gene segment, but oops.... Whole segments of DNA disappeared. So now baby can see, but doesn't have a ______. :
This was a real story, but I can't imagine mad scientists messing with human DNA...
