A Side hobby is Ham. Using FM there is a 0 ceiling before clipping. These guys are quite limited in what is sold in their world. They have strange compression terms and most of the offerings derive from Heil who has for the most part, the market cornered.

My local ham radio store has two entire isles of what are imho overpriced heil microphones and processors. http://www.heilsound.com/amateur/products/microphones

A company "Electronic Monakey a few years ago came along and produced this board:

You would mount the board inside the microphone for instance a yaesu mh-31 dynamic mic.

Then another company came along and made this:

You can't obtain this stuff anymore

Does this stuff interest anyone else? theres so much room for improvement here.
Does anyone have any experience with SMD DSP processors.

I would include Reverb / Delay options / Roger beep / HPF / LPF / Parametric EQ / Dynamic compression / and switch for settings for the different modes AM/FM/SSB etc...

Micro USB should be off board.
