Has anybody in the L.A. area built a PRR 176?

Nobody?

Anybody with a reasonably hifi build willing to run a file or two through one for me?  I'm considering building one as a parallel color compressor for mastering, slow attack, slow release, compressing a few dB and mixed in low. I've done this in the past with a pair of EAR 660 and recently with a Vertigo VSC2 and liked the effect on some weaker material.

Time is short these days so I'd like to get a handle on whether the tone/timing might work for me or not before committing to the effort.

Maybe worth posting in the build thread? You'll probably get more responses.

Maybe ask kingston? He was one of the more active builders when it first was released and he usually builds his stuff clean, low distortion.
