Music and audio is my biggest hobby. When trying to record drums in my low ceiling concrete cellar room it sounded awful. This lead me to experiment with cheap DIY small capsule boundary microphones, using knockoff WM 61s. The results were promising so I invested in some budget SDC's thinking it would be a huge upgrade sound wise. The results so far are underwhelming and I'm now contemplating trying DIY again with some Primo EM273.
