Greetings!

I'm Ankit from Toronto, Canada.

I have been a music producer and audio engineer for about 7 years now, but I totally new to building/modifying audio gear!
I do not have an electronics background, but I'm trying to learn as much as I can through a couple of audio service experts in Toronto, books as well as online resources!
I have been on GroupDIY for maybe just over a month now but was a little shy about posting!

I'm excited to discuss and learn from y'all!

Hi Ankit,Welcome,
id buy some small electronic kits,LED flashers ect,
and build them up,
Get some soldering skills going,
perhaps a Chinese temperature, controlled soldering iron.
Then maybe ,find some old electronics, and put some new PSU filter Capacitors in,Pots ect.
get it working correctly,or better :)
Ive got to much junk Atm,
But i should of bought an old Alesis Compressor, fairly cheap,
as theres lots of info,online,
how to improve the sound,by changing the Caps VCAs,and OpAmps.

Thank you so much for your kind words and suggestions!!

So, in terms of getting my basic electronics gear- soldering kits, pliers, multimeter, etc, I have recently bought that! Learning to read schematics as well at this point!

I'm currently on my first Apex 460 to C12 build project and so far I'm building it slow and steady and it's going well! Swapped the transformer and tube, thanks to guidance from a really great Toronto based repair technician!
