My interests include both Tube and SS Hi Fi. I recently changed from Altec Valencia’s and DIY kornscala’s to open baffle speakers. I was going to restore a Crown DC300A amp but found it to have a bad transformer.

Thanks. I have a couple of R2R units. A Tascam 34B and a Sansui SD7000. They both work but I would like to get them restored completely to do some recording.
It's worth noting some notable crossover (pun unintended) particularly wrt speakers. In particular thinking of stacked Quad ESL electrostatics used in "classical' music applications. Memory not crystal clear but I think it was Philips related. Might have a Google on that.
