Help to find BFR18 transistor replacement

Sorry for stupid newbie question... Could anyone help to find an equialent for BFR18 (TO-18) transistor?.. I tried to google it (which usually helps and provides list of alternatives), but it didn't work with this one..
I am not really sure how to find the right one by its datasheet.. but I have it attached here...
Anyone please?

search for the part here and see if there is an NTE equivalent. they usually is.

Hey everybody, thanks for your input! With your ideas and some more research I think I have found what might be a suitable replacement.
It's 2N3700 transistor, here is its datasheet: http://www.farnell.com/datasheets/2861187.pdf

And yes, I need it for Studer A80 Oscillator card, not really sure what they do there, but I bought a replacement/backup card and then realized it is missing these 2 BFR18s..

Yeah, thanks for these links!
One question though... WEB-BSC site has a fine text note saying:

note:a similar type is not always a replacement type, please check the application requirements carefully before BC639 is used for replacement

It's more to do with temperature/outdoor/indoor than electric characteristics?..
