Help with fine tuning a stompbox Tone pot

I built a clone of a King Of Tone with some mods some time ago and it sounds great BUT with some guitars, especially Teles it tends to be quite bright. The circuit has an internal Presence pot and an external Tone pot. Maybe what I'm doing is wrong but since it's internal, I'm adjusting the Presence pot in a set and forget way to determine the range in which the Tone pot can adjust with more finesse.
To set the Presence where I think is the right ballpark it always ends in a very low position (at 10 o'clock max).

My question is, what should I change to make it less bright? Should I change the trimpot for a different value or change C17/C18 or R23/R24?
Any help would be very appreciated

I would start with increasing C17 and/or C18.

Maybe not so radical. I would try 22n and 47n.
