This is DIY that I came across... not sure who did the build.

They have the HOT fused, but the Neutral switched. Now, I was always under the impression that the HOT should be Fused and switched... if not Both the HOT AND NEUTRAL switched...

Right?

Pretty easy to switch around, just wanted to make sure before I spend customers money if it's not necessary...

Since both hot and neutral should never get anywhere near a human, it "shouldn't" matter.

Logically breaking neutral means the primary and all connected will float up to hot.

Since it's a DIY build it may be worth checking for proper spacing and primary insulation discipline.

Which is "hot" or "neutral"?

In the USA there are many-many mis-wired outlets.

The wiring *must* be safe even if you plug-in at my old kitchen (60% H/N-reversed).

I would not raise an iron to fix that "fault". Certainly not on someone else's dollar.

As John says, worry about joint and insulation integrity.

Ground!! Yes, it will get un-grounded some day, and there's a lot of bad grounds (100% in my old kitchen) but you can't stop that. Be sure the third green conductor goes SOLID to case/chassis.
