How to make dual/stereo link option for 2 compressors?

I'm planning on building a pair of What compressors and 1176s, each pair will be in the same rack case, and I'd like to make them switchable from dual mono to stereo linked. Is there a standard way to do this, or is it particular to each unit? There's a glut of info out there and I've read through much of it, but haven't come across this.

Just to clarify, I'm not going to put a pair of What compressors and a pair of 1176s in the same rack....but rather one of each.

Mnats boards have an additional pad for the interconnection. (before R7, gate of FET) Pin7 on the original schematic

You need to match the audio FETs (Q1).
