Hello, I am using Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 1st gen in Windows 10.

There is no output terminal available at the moment, so we obtained Saffire pro 40 for the expansion of the output terminal.

I connected Saffire with Firewire and set the standalone as it is on the homepage, but my Outboard Compressor is not working.

Connect to the compressor with outputs 3 and 4 of the Safire 40
The compressor output is connected to mic3 and 4 of 18i20.

The setting of Send bus and Return bus in Cubase is like this.

- - Send bus : ADAT 3,4
- - Return bus : Mic 3,4

Did I connect or set something wrong?

Please help me

You will need to connect the Saffire's ADAT out to the 18i20's ADAT in. Also, be sure to set the 18i20 as the master wordclock.

Edit: In Cubase, set the send/returns for the compressor to whichever ADAT channel they are on. They will be the same number as the I/O they are plugged into.

IMPORTANT EDIT:
I mis-remembered this one: Leave the FW cable plugged in - the Saffire still requires the software to get its assignment info for ADAT channels. Be sure to set the 18i20 as the primary interface in your DAW.
