I did get some experience in winding big mains transformers a couple of years back ,but its a dying skill unfortunately , theres no audio transformer companies left here in Ireland now . I'd give anything for a few weeks work in Lundahls factory , he's really pushed the boat out in terms of materials and methods , the mylar tape really makes a neat job of it ,as well as sealing the windings from atmospheric conditions to a large degree , seems better than potting or impregnating with chemicals .
