There is lots of warm water in the Atlantic and gulf... so far upper altitude wind conditions have not been favorable but we are past due.

I like the "unprecedented"... meaning a hurricane has never hit that particular area in the available historic records....

Tampa Bay is forecast to get the "dirty side" of Idalia..... i.e. storm surge and rain bands.

They use those words often. Maybe I am just watching the wrong news.
I find it odd that it’s unprecedented.
You would think the area got hit head on before.
