I know I have lots of other things to think about at the moment, but I needed to swap out some transistors in some 2520 style DOAs, and take my mind off things, so I used this tool for the first time today. Had to remove 12 transistors. With a solder sucker this would have taken hours. This was minutes. Amazing. Truly a life changer.

Sometimes, we need to think about something else than what really occupies our mind. I'm glad you've found a way.

These things are awesome, yes. I've never owned one, as I'm not in a hurry and don't do much desoldering these days. The latest soldering iron I've bought, was 9.99€, battery powered and a bit of a toy. But it's handy for the occasional jack and XLR. And cheap enough not to bother me if I lose or break it.
