Really crazy bu should work idea:
http://www.groupdiy.com/index.php?topic=29771.msg667147#msg667147

This thread will always remain here by 2 reasons: I am happy to donate to this forum, and this thread becomes kinda META.

The quality of our projects talks by itself, and sound-wise, it doesn't needs any big crispy punchy descriptions.
It simply sounds great when done with love from good quality parts.

These kits and other units, assembled by us or other people,
are working for recording industry worldwide.

We can assemble and finalize these projects for you, as well as many other things,
at our lab at Haifa, with precision measurement equipment and old-school Deutch
attention to details, just drop a PM. (Note: our work is not cheap).

If you have an idea about something new to come in kit/pcb form,
or PCB design service - feel free to contact.
PM box always left full, but you probably will find how)

For the last time, I overloaded with work and the most of work, unfortunately, in Tel Aviv,
taking into account I live in Haifa, it is more than hour one side drive.
But, when I have time, always will be happy to help with support threads.

BTW, you can find the cases for most projects here:
http://www.diy-racked.com/diy-talk/

Please read ordering details and disclaimer (bottom of this post) before ordering.

In case you like to come and record music in Israel, in world class standard studio-
with excellent atmosphere, qualified staff and great microphones/equipment collection-
be our guests, welcome to renewed DB studios,

Official website will be available soon.

Errata for all builders. Please check build/support thread, there's a mistake on pcb.
Low cuts are not working.
Update: Found the fix. Ordered right switch. Got sample.
If you bought from me pcb set or kit, please mail, LO (freq. select) switches will be sent for free.
Last update is: I got switch samples from manufacturer and they did not answered my mails for
last 3 weeks. Weird communication like Alphastat pots for Sontec:)
Anyway, I have backup variant; prob is to easy-mod (fix) lo switch issue,
we need 23 mm max depth after front panel, 2x11 switch.
Anyway, it will be fixed soon as possible.

MASTERING QUALITY CRM:

I think, it is cleanest CRM possible. We use 3 of these assembled kits in DB:
http://www.groupdiy.com/index.php?topic=43120.0

The sh@t, is A6833 chips (relay driver used in this project) are not available anymore.
This project becomes discontinued. We prepared 12 kits, take your last chance.

http://www.groupdiy.com/index.php?topic=30914

for great impression

Please note: this is not easy project. Anyway, many people did it and enjoy the real clean sound.

From the other side, I did design for very similar CRM project, active,
without digital control and quite more DIY-able.

New CRM has: 4 inputs (1 of 4), 3 outputs (can be 1 of 3 or paralleled),
mono, mute (dim), AND great A/B option.
It can be used as simple mastering console with 2 inserts or CRM
with A/B test compatibility.
Talkback can be easy added here.
It is not hi-end as relay-based, passive CRM, but quite more DIY-friendly,
and, trust me, better than monitor section of $$L G4000 (G6000) and 99% of consoles.

DISCLAIMER

!!!Please attention!!!

These projects are hi-fi alternative to some others offered at this forum.
As long as there's support threads, there's some small commercial effort,
if some people like it or not.

Hopefully you're good enough in electronics. Some projects are not for beginners.
Anyway, patience and good hands will do the job. A way to learn how the things works.
Always welcome to post pictures of finnished projects.

Please, read support threads before asking the questions, maybe it is already answered..

I don't mind if you sell these kits assembled to your friends. But.
No manufacturer logos under stuff like 2254C or Sontec-inspired EQ, no brand-names.
Sell, but under your name.
No Gerber files, no permission to copy layouts.

If customer asked who designed the stuff you sold, point here.
But I cannot give any support or warranty to your customers.

Comparing these kits/pcbs prices to other available stuff: honestly, they are very low.
For people who think it is a bit high...you have other alternatives (or no at all).

Ordering procedure:

Hi Christoph, not in this year, but maybe in future.

Interested in the 2254/33609 hybrid, is it laid out for Carnhills? or will the Sowters fit PCB mount as well?

Cheers Tom

Hi Igor !!!
Please St Nicolas : notice I would like a plasma vu , a 2254 and several universal input kits!!

Hey Igor,
I just sent payment for 2x XLR relay bypass kits.
Thanks very much.
Rob

So, 62 Euro for a stereo Sontec, and 220 Euro for the kits with pots and switches.

The pots and switches for these cost that much more, do they? Wow.

Thanks,
Sig
