Hi,

I just got the Apogee Ensemble and been listening to familiar music thru them. I was hoping this thing to be the holy grail of do it all with one box type of thing... Although it sounds pretty good I think there are rooms for improvements.

Anyone have any suggestions to improve it's sound? Perhaps the power supply. Thanks in advance.

Here are it's main components:

Converter: Cirrus Logic CS4272 - czz (114db , -100 THD)

Op Amp: Texas Instrument TLE2074C (Slew Rate 40,000V/us)

Mic Preamp: Texas Instrument PGA2500I

The slew rate for the TLE2074C might be off by a couple of decimal places. The datasheet quotes 45V/usec. It has a pretty poor noise figure at 11.6nV/sqr.rt.Hz.
