Hello i would like to make a CCDA mod micrphone with a Tbone SCT 700 or SCT 2000 and build a microphone that is typed like M49.
I have seen microphone build with a 8:1 BV18 transformer.
Does anybody could describe the sound of the main transformer. 6.5:1 / 7.1 14.2 etc…thank you

I’m about to mod my 6th and 7th tube mic. This time its a pair of t.bone sct 2000 with Maiku K47. Previous mic I modded were Badaax T11, SYT 5 and t.bone sct 800. All with stock circuit.
In my experience CCDA circuit sounds great when executed right, Advanced audio formula works ! As well Advanced Audio BV18 makes difference, to my ears huge for some other people minor. Anyways it has to do with transients and low and mid low frequency signal quality.
Recently we did 24ch drum recording to test bunch of mics including big companies and guess who won Badaax T11 modded with AA Apex mod kit!

my question is what is OEM for BV18 ? Is there a place to order it beside AA?

thanks
