Nice.
Can't decide if it's an opto or a vari-mu design.
with 6386 being so specialisted i'd say vari-mu.

sure looks like an sta level.

it ended with no bids thats kind of odd, watch he will relist it with a begining bid of say 400 and it will go up to 800.

looks like a mini Fairchild. HA-100X in, looks like a Chi-town output , and a smaller innerstage.
Marik, go trace the schemo!

Yeah, right down the street... about 30miles. If I could have the thingy for one or couple evenings....
He has some other cool stuff.

there's some info about this unit on rec.audio.pro. according to the illustrious scott dorsey, CCA is probably still in business in georgia. sounds like a pretty standard vari-mu design. some bad pix of another unit are posted as well.

These were auctioned about 2 or 3 years ago. If you do a Google "groups" search you will find some interesting opinions about these limiters

Hey there folks.....I actually own that very Limiter, guy sold it to me after the auction closed, and man, it sounds AWESOME!! i have a sta-level as well, and its very similar, but sound slike a Sta-Level on Steroids!! set the release on .2 sec and crank that input att. up and it smashes things up in a GOOD way!! Went through the unit and recapped most of what i could get to, added a removeable power cable, XLR in and out, and she's sounding great!! Anyways, been lurking for a while round here, lots of great information!! Nice to meet you all!!
