Is anyone else experiencing some "interesting" ads popping up on this website?

So far I've been solicited for bigger breasts (which is happening for me naturally with age), single Asians dating, IQ testing, fingernail clippers, girls in skimpy sleepwear, and Vintage King!

At least the moderators are diversifying.
 
Privacy Badger with a custom block list dialed in works great for me ,many sites work away with all third party redirects blocked, in some cases where they dont you can allow one by one until you find the functionality you require again ,
browsers set to dump history on exit ,as pointed out thats a major source of targeted adds.
The abillity to run the browser sandboxed also comes in handy from time to time .
Disabling any form of search suggestion in the browser also seems to be prudent ,

Ive tried Adblock but I found its flagged up on many sites , were creatures of habit and once you've taken the time to configure Privacy Badger its rock solid and speeds up browsing significantly. My stripped out and gutted XP with the afore mentioned additions browses faster  than Win 7 ,but of course certain software is crippled/unusable.

Search engines are not as smart as you might think. I remember searching for Russian tubes a few years back and ended up with a list dominated by Russian porn youtube style sites.

"It" can't "see" anything in your cookies. If you use a recent browser and havent meddled with the settings (and have no adware infection), "it" can't read those cookies. Only the site that set the cookies can.

Besides, your Google Ads profile isn't stored in cookies, it lives on Google's servers. If not, there would be lots of others using that profile without Google seeing any revenue.

You also shouldn't forget advertisers get to choose the profiles they target. So, even if you aren't interested in, let's say nail-clippers, the manufacturer might target seemingly random profiles. That's the beauty of marketing research. Sometimes the most ludicrous correlations show up. Advertisers don't care if these are ludicrous, they only want ROI.

It's fairly common for the "adult content" advertisers to target religious profiles, fi. And that's not because they want to annoy religious people, it's because they know the numbers.
